I really enjoyed working with Kevan at Boulevard. He’s a thoughtful product designer who takes the time to deeply understand the problem he’s solving and approaches his work with a very human lens.

What always stood out to me was the care and nuance he brought to every detail, from the design itself to the language used throughout the experience. As a marketer, I really valued how intentional and thoughtful he was in shaping work that truly considered the user.

Kevan also had a creative and innovative way of bringing his designs to life. His interactive prototypes and demos made it easy for cross-functional partners, even those outside of design or engineering, to understand the product experience before it was built. That helped teams align more quickly and catch potential friction points, bugs, or experience gaps early.

He was also a great partner to work with: collaborative, supportive, and always invested in helping the team do its best work. I’d happily recommend him to any team looking for a thoughtful and creative product designer.

I've had the pleasure of working with Kevan as his engineering counterpart at Boulevard for close to a year. In that role I've admired his creativity and ability to make progress using unconventional means, be it the more cutting edge AI based prototypes or to the old fashioned approach of walking into a local business to talk to clients and get their opinions on his work.

Collaborating with Kevan was always great, he's an excellent communicator, has strong opinions - weakly held when it comes to project scope and advocating for UX, on top of being humble and a great colleague and human all around.

I've had the pleasure of working with Kevan over the last year-plus at Boulevard (in fact, he interviewed me!) and I've been consistently impressed with the way he thinks and the way he works. Kevan applies a distinct quality bar to all of the work he ships, and it's that knack for quality that has lead to he and his team shipping incredible, game-changing products.

Our respective workstreams—Commerce and Fintech—go hand-in-hand and we've therefore been able to work together a number of times. Kevan's ability to rapidly turn vision into output has made it exponentially easier for him and for us to align across teams. Not everyone can immediately visualize what a product designer can describe, but Kevan's inclination for rapid prototyping and workshopping means he can quickly turn those words into an actionable mock or proto to build off of.

Kevan drove the push across design at Boulevard to integrate rapid prototyping tools like Cursor/Figma MCP and Claude Code into our workstreams. His stewardship here has led to tool adoption across the team and quicker-than-ever speed to development across teams. Amidst this, he's led pushes to improve user research and insight-gathering through in-person contextual inquiries and user interviews.

To put it shortly and frankly, Kevan occupies the sweet spot that every PD needs to hit in this ever-evolving industry: he's genuinely smart, has an impressive toolkit that he knows how to use fluently, and is ever-impassioned about the user and their needs. With that, he's equipped to handle pretty much any challenge he's faced with. You'd be lucky to work with him!

I’ve been working with Kevan for the past three months and have been consistently impressed by the level of collaboration he fosters. He works transparently, actively seeking and welcoming feedback from both Product and Engineering teams—not only during implementation, but also in the early stages of discovery.

Over this time, Kevan has also explored new approaches to building design prototypes. This work has had a meaningful impact by reducing ambiguity and improving both engineering velocity and overall quality.

Kevan is a great product designer who always back up his decisions with research and data. He is also an excellent communicator, seeking cross-team alignement by building comprehensive decks for the stakeholders to easily grasp complex ideas. His visuals are always polished. He's a fine researcher too, keeping the conversations flowing in high-context product conversations. Because of his approach to work, everyone is drawn to him and want to work with him! I would love to work with him again!

A couple of months ago, when I was assisting Kevan with some research he was leading, I sent him a Slack message saying that he is a joy to work with. And he is really, really good at interviewing research participants (in this case merchants and accountants). And he is really, really good at analysis. And he is really, really good at reporting research results. And he is really, really good and finding ways to take action on the insights. I told Kevan that he should tell his family and friends that I think he's amazing at his job building products that make people's lives better. His family and friends know it. Now you do too.

I had the opportunity to meet Kevan at Shopify through the mentorship program and he was an amazing mentor. He was approachable, patient, and encouraging. He gave me great advice and feedback on my on work and on how to improve my presentation skills and confidence.

Kevan is a true expert in Foreign exchange. He guided us through the domain and collaborated deeply with my team. It was a joy. Kevan's deep empathy for merchants drives his work to deliver impact. He is a talented, hardworking, and empathetic individual who would be an asset to any team.

Kevan is an extraordinarily thoughtful and talented designer, who took real ownership of FX at Shopify. He combines data and product sensibilities, getting to the root of real behaviours, with pragmatic and elegant solutions. He asks great questions, and designs with effectiveness front and centre.
